View Article  On July 4th, let’s Carpe Diem…A lesson from the demise of the immigration bill
Yesterday, those of us who were opposed to this immigration bill put President Bush in his rightful place. We made him irrelevant. Now that is independence. It was our ‘Mission Accomplished’ moment which will hopefully be recorded in the annals of history.   more »
View Article  Paris Hilton shows more class and beauty than Ann Coulter could ever dream of
Exactly what value does Ann Coulter have to the listening audience? She has none! While both are blondes, clearly it is Coulter who is the bimbette. Oh and at least Paris has more fashion sense and does not wear the same skimpy black dress while on-air that Coulter seems to do.   more »
View Article  Suffolk County Executive, Steve Levy wins my ‘Founding Fathers Award’
I now hand over my ‘Founding Fathers Award’ to my County Executive, Steve Levy who is remembering who voted him into office in the first place. Those that voted for him are ‘we the people’. He has stood by the citizens of this county ever since he was elected.   more »
View Article  The history of coffee as it relates to political debate
The history of our political debate and the information age can be traced directly back to coffee houses which were referred to as "penny universities" where people would gather to discuss not only politics, but religion, poetry and yes, gossip.   more »
View Article  More Voices of Katrina
I know that some of these letters are quite lengthy and these are only a portion of the ones that I received subsequent to that original article, but here is my challenge to all of my readers. I want all of you to shut that immigration bill down by calling your senators and telling them that their first duty is to our American citizens first.   more »
View Article  Mayor Michael Bloomberg wins my ‘Founding Fathers Award’
In closing, I wish to congratulate Mayor Michael Bloomberg for having the courage of his convictions by not wishing to align himself with anyone party. I hope that this starts a trend in which people will awaken that they too should claim their independence from party politics.   more »
View Article  The voices of Katrina
Without further adieu, I now give you the voices of Katrina as they continue to suffer. They are after all, your fellow Americans.   more »
View Article  Life is anything but easy for the ‘Big Easy’
It was not only the Bush administration but our government that denied our citizens help in the immediate aftermath of this storm. I should know since I was calling as many of our elected official’s offices. Even a receptionist of Nancy Pelosi hung up on me twice when I demanded they accept both aid packages with thanks and grace.   more »
View Article  Can you spell Sunburn missiles, Senator Joe Lieberman?
Is Senator Lieberman actually thinking it through of the negative ramifications such a military strike by our nation against Iran will bring about? Right now due to our involvement and occupation in Iraq, we do not have the military ground forces available should this bring about a regional war.   more »
View Article  Congress should have debated the Iraq War like they did the illegal immigration bill
I was only happy to see those who backed this horrific bill publicly humiliated. To the presidential candidates of both parties, it is your primary duty to stand on the side of legal citizens of this country. After all, it will be legal citizens of this country who will be going to the polls. My message to congress is get back to work on behalf of legal American citizens.   more »
View Article  Suffer the children of Iraq a photo essay
Yes, I suppose the Iraq War has become what it is in which the American people are not being listened to by members of both parties. These children like American children deserved and still deserve the life of innocence.   more »
