The war supplemental bill should be delivered to him in a flag-draped coffin signifying what this war has cost the American people. Just think of the symbolism if our congress delivered it in that fashion. more »

I would have loved to have heard more from him. Gravel even chided MSNBC’s, Brian Williams stating, “I feel like a potted plant up here,” To be honest, not enough questions were posed to this candidate, but to the other well known candidates. Again, it is a case of the media selecting who our candidate will be. It should be the people who decide. more »

I do believe if Al Gore went onto become our president, he would have paid attention to the Hart/Rudman report on terrorism. He would have paid attention to a counter-terrorism expert in Richard Clarke who warned President Bush of the impending threat of al Qaeda. You would not have seen a President Gore fix the intelligence to meet any plans on attacking Iraq. more »

As many watched the Virginia Tech convocation, we saw President Bush along with the First Lady, Laura Bush in attendance. We heard him speak out of these victims deaths, yet this president has never seen fit to attend one memorial service of any of our fallen soldiers. I guess their deaths mean nothing to him. more »

It used to be if there was a major news story, the networks would break into regular programs with breaking news. They did straight reporting of the facts and did not look to dissect the story similar to a science student dissecting a frog in class. When they had nothing else to offer us, they would say, “We now resume normal broadcasting” more »

Time will go on for those at Virginia Tech in which they will be surrounded by loved ones in order to help them cope with this tragedy of human loss; but who will be there for the innocent Iraqis caught up in a war they did not deserve? Who will comfort them? Who will help them try and make sense of the violence? Are there counselors in place to help them? more »

Hate does not enrich our souls as well as our bodies. In fact it does the complete opposite. It drains us. Hate is a toxin that consumes every fiber of our bodies and leaves us empty. It can be just as addicting as crack cocaine. So, let us call this negative human emotion, hate, the crack cocaine that many have become addicted to. more »

How do we as a society come to a consensus of what we find offensive and hateful being that the country is polarized? While many believe if you are going to take off Don Imus, then all must go who have used the same form of vulgarity or hate. But you will have folks who feel the opposite. more »

In closing, I am not writing this to delve into self-pity, but give you a better understanding of how epileptics have been maligned in the past and poked fun at though the entertainment industry. So, on behalf of the 2.7 million epileptics I am asking for a formal apology by CBS and NBC. more »

Lastly, until any apology is forth coming from Ann Coulter it is my opinion that she does not have the right to add anything further to this debate. Just go away, Ann and leave the rest of America alone. Let us figure out how we can best address this issue without hearing from you. more »

Any apology if given frequently holds little meaning and sincerity. After a while it becomes just words without feeling behind it. He is not the first and only one, and will not be the last. Forget the firing of eight U.S. attorneys at the hands of Alberto Gonzales since the actions of one of his judges is more of a threat to all of us. In these times we all need an extreme makeover of the soul and spirit as we are assaulted by such hate that is out there.
