View Article  The Eve of Destruction and I Feel Like I’m Fixin to Die
If you think for one second that the top-tier presidential candidates on both sides of the political aisle can deliver us from this madness, think again. View Article  We need to ask ‘are’ our children learning
Maybe if they see us reading more books or even your daily newspaper, something may click. Instead of saying, “Hey, kids do you want to go to the mall?” instead we say, “Hey, kids let’s take a trip to the library.” It couldn’t hurt; could it?   more »
View Article  President Bush, does the name Luis Posada Carriles ring a bell as you lecture Cuba?
If Bush wishes to extend any olive-branch to the people of Cuba, it is up to him to send Luis Posada Carriles packing. It is up to him to extradite Carriles to Venezuela who has consistently called for this action. He does not get to lecture Cubans when we have in our midst a monster that killed many of their countrymen back in October of 1976.   more »
View Article  California wildfires: Those who bash Californians need to grow up
I think that some Americans need to grow up and seek the advice of those who are still apart of America’s ‘Greatest Generation’. This group of people were the can do Americans and would not have reacted in such a juvenile and hateful manner.   more »
View Article  Those who feel Stark should apologize, are acting as Pres. Bush’s enablers
We must remember that literally thousands upon thousands of Iraqi children will never grow up. Those within the military who have been killed will never get to see their children grow up. They need adults speaking out for them.   more »
View Article  Pres. Bush should apologize and not Rep. Pete Stark
I have seen far more graphic photos coming out of this heinous war and you tell me if Rep. Pete Stark should apologize. I think that it is President Bush who owes an apology to our military, those who have died while serving and especially to the Iraqi people.   more »
View Article  Those who oppose AIPAC and CUFI are caught in the realm of nightmares
Those of us who do go up against these organizations are the ones truly looking out for the safety and security of this nation as we will equally go up against any terrorist organization like al Qaeda. I do not see a difference in any of these organizations and given our recent history; do you?   more »
View Article  Just go away, President Bush…A letter to the Washington Post
Anytime that you see an article with Bush giving ‘we the people’ a directive, what plans he has in the works or his conduct of this war, just get to your keys and fire off a letter. Let us do so in defense of all those who have died during his administration.   more »
View Article  To Al Gore, I thirst to drink from the cup of intelligence
From the bottom of our hearts, Mr. Gore, thank you for your selfless work on behalf of this planet and congratulations on winning the Nobel Peace Prize. This is a prize that no judicial body can take away from you.   more »
View Article  Is supporting political parties and front-runners more important than our country?
Is being a part of the Republican and Democratic Party more important than the direction of this country? Is it more important than our soldiers who continue to die each and every day?   more »
View Article  Women and children in the Congo are literally being wiped off the face of the map
In reading this article, a saying kept rolling around in my head, “Evil prevails when good men do nothing” and it certainly appears as if evil resides in the Congo and our government is not stepping up to the plate to help these innocent victims.   more »
View Article  Mike Gravel: I love my country, and I love the human race
After viewing the interview spotlighting Mike Gravel, Bobby Kennedy’s voice spoke to me when he once said, "There are those who look at things the way they are, and ask why... I dream of things that never were and ask why not." After these seven long and arduous years, I long to dream of things that never were and I do ask; why not?   more »
View Article  AIPAC, Israel, and the United States, oh my
Our national security demands that we hold Israel equally culpable as we do Iran, Iraq and any other nation. But, with powerful lobbying groups such as AIPAC, our national security is in danger. This is the stuff that nightmares are made of.   more »
View Article  To end the war in Iraq; whatever happened to Senate Rule 22?
While the senate Democrats hope for the “landscape to change in the coming months” one thing will not change is that our troops will continue to die along with innocent Iraqis. And we elect these senators, why?   more »
View Article  America needs a president who does not apply fear wastefully
We are deserving of a president who does not apply fear wastefully in which ‘we the people’ can honor this president’s intuitive signals without the denial of them. That is the leadership we need going forward. Is there that dynamic leader out there willing to rise to this immense challenge, ‘we the people’ only pray so.   more »
