Subject: To Honor our Fallen Soldiers, Lieberman Supporters Must Back Ned Lamont
Importance: High

Dear Editor,

After reading, "Lieberman Defiant in Defeat", Joe Lieberman and his supporters must now listen to the expressed wishes of the voters.  They came out to tell him through a Lamont victory that they no longer back him or Bush on this war which has taken the lives of over 2,550 American soldiers and sent home thousands maimed for life.  In the 2004 when it became evident that Kerry would be our candidate, Joe fell in line with the Democratic Party to support our candidate and now must do the same. In his defiance, he is showing his contempt for the Democratic voters in Connecticut who in the past have supported his candidacy not only in senatorial campaigns but in the 2000 presidential campaign as well.  Speaking of the 2000 presidential election, many labeled him “Sore Loserman” and now in his open defiance of this primary is proudly wearing that label.  To those that would normally back, Joe Lieberman, a message was sent through this primary and it up to you to listen to the voices of those that want a real change in Washington, D.C.  In memory of our fallen soldiers, it is incumbent that those who continue to support Lieberman throw your support behind Ned Lamont.

Sincerely,

Mary MacElveen
