God’s Speed, Ned Lamont

By Mary MacElveen

In this last weekend before primary day in which Connecticut voters will be going to the polls to choose between Mr. Ned Lamont and Senator Joe “Zell Miller” Lieberman, I want to wish the Lamont campaign, “God’s speed”.  My hopes and prayers are is that they snatch victory for us all and to defeat Joe Lieberman with a crushing blow.  Let a Lamont victory be the “kiss of death” so to speak as Bush has been shown kissing good ole Joe.

There is one person behind the scenes of the Lamont campaign that deserves a round of applause from all of us and that is the media director Liz Dupont-Diehl.  She is the woman that called for many of us to write pro-Lamont letters to all major news papers thereby getting the attention of the Connecticut voters.  With the latest polling numbers, her hard work has paid off.

As you the voters go to the polls, let your vote for Ned Lamont be the strike at the insurgency of those that support Bush and his war in Iraq.  They are clearly the enemies of the state and must be held accountable.

As I was reading a Forbes article, I read, “Sen. Frank Lautenberg of New Jersey, who just days ago campaigned with Lieberman, said a decisive win by anti-war challenger Ned Lamont would probably drive Lieberman off the ballot in the November general election.” Let us only hope so and hopefully the Texas sized ego of Lieberman will not come rearing its ugly head only for him to become the spoiler.

But if you want the biggest motivating factor to take Ned Lamont into the winner’s circle come Tuesday, as I was visiting the PatriotBoy Blog spot, the picture below tells it all.

Let me remind my readers that these cowards that support this most heinous war refuse to suit up and join those presently on the battle lines in Iraq.  Yes, they refuse to put their money where their mouth is.  They will rah-rah George W. Bush, but Heavens to Betsy any of them will go down to their nearest recruitment office, well that tells it all.

I want to ask these cowardly folks, just how they can face any veteran that has come home wounded for a life time.  Most likely, they cannot.  Are they fighting for the health benefits these soldiers rightly deserve?

No, they are calling those of us who are against this war, traitors and un-patriotic. Let me remind these cowards that those that will blindly follow a liar in George W. Bush are indeed America’s worst traitors and do not even know the meaning of the word patriotism.

Now let this picture be a motivating factor as well and included in it is a direct quote made by George W. Bush.

We that support true Democratic leaders such as Ned Lamont are the ones warning this planet that if we continue the way that we are, Armageddon will become reality.  I will now leave you with a Life Magazine cover that ran on February 27, 1950.

This is what awaits us all, if we do not stop men like Joe Lieberman and every pro-war Democrat and Republican that is out there.
