If we condone these actions, we have condemned our very humanity.

Once again, I am horrified as I gaze upon these pictures of dead Lebanese children.  If you have children yourself, they should not view these photos, but you as a parent should.  What if these were your children and a country chose to come in bombing us?  Wouldn’t you scream for justice?  But, it seems that we turn a blind eye when it comes to the massacre of Muslims as we fund the Israeli government.

This is a statement made by Hanady Salman, an editor at As-Safir:

You will all have to excuse me for sending this. Its pictures of the bodies of babies killed by the Israelis in South Lebanon. They are all burnt. I need your help. I am almost certain these pictures won't be published in the West, although they are Associated Press pictures. I need your help exposing them if you can. The problem is these are people who were asked to leave
their village , Ter Hafra , this morning , within two hours , or else. ... So those who were able to flee went to the closer UN base where they were asked to leave. I think that after the Qana massacres in 1996 when civilians were bombed after they took shelter in UN headquarters, the UN does not want to be responsible for the lives of civilians. A FEW MINUTES AGO, the Israeli asked the people of Al Bustan village in the south to evacuate their homes. I am afraid massacres will keep happening as long as Israeli actions are unchecked. Please help us if you can…Hanady Salman"

As a mother first, it angers me that these children are seen as nothing but collateral damage when they should be looked upon as victims of terror and yes murder.  These innocent Lebanese children do have the right to live normal happy lives, playing as all children love to do, but the west does turn its back on them.  We scream bloody murder when attacks are made on Israelis, why not the murder of these children?  What separates us?  The only thing I can think of is that we see ourselves as being a higher class of human beings.

The AFP reported this quote made by John Bolton who is the US Ambassador to the United Nations: "It's simply not the same thing to say that it's the same act to deliberately target innocent civilians, to desire their deaths, to fire rockets and use explosive devices or kidnapping versus the sad and highly unfortunate consequences of self-defense," Bolton noted. -- Lebanon civilian deaths morally not same as terror victims -- Bolton

As victims of terror on 9/11, Americans screamed out for their own and so should the rest of humanity when it comes to these victims of terror.  To John Bolton, do not dare tell the world that these children were not the victims of terrorism.

As many of you know, I faxed a letter to Senator Hillary Rodham-Clinton who stated that all Americans stood behind Israel and that was before I had seen these photos.  Why should any civilized person support the murder of these children?  Senator Clinton represents a state which was the victim of a terror attack and how she can say that Americans stand behind this form of terror launched upon the Lebanese people is beyond comprehension.  It offends the senses as well as morally bankrupts us.  As a constituent of Senator Clinton’s by her heinous remark, she just lost my vote in her re-election campaign.  No, I will not vote for the GOP candidate, but vote third party this time when it comes to that senate seat.  I cannot turn my back on these children.

Why does the west tolerate the subjugation of Muslims?  We are always wondering why we in the west are hated, perhaps the above photos will answer that question as the United States government stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the Israeli government.  If we condone these actions, we have condemned our very humanity.

Lastly, having just read this coming in from the AP, “In Beirut, Americans boarded a luxury ship to carry them from the country, with many complaining about the slow pace of the U.S. evacuation effort.”  Who are they to complain as we look upon these photos of dead Lebanese children?  To these evacuees, your own government made you a target.
